Got an OEM mount coming.. stay tuned for details.

Here is the Bracket:
Yamaha Part # F3M-U8577-00

Made out of Steel and powder coated in a white texture, I'm still waiting on my trolling motor to figure out how to mount it to the bracket.

Surprised it's not made of stainless. Looks nice either way

I actually don't know whats under the powder coating or paint.. its metal though.. it might be aluminum, 1/4" thick.

Update: Bracket is Aluminum.. Got my Terrova Installed over the weekend.

is it custom fabricated or can I order one as well? will the cover still fit on the boat with the mount?

Nice install. I believe that is the OEM bracket. Not sure on the cover. May need to take it to a canvas shop and have it modified?

OEM mount.. factory cover will not fit without modifications.

That looks really nice! I'm on the verge of doing the same.

I like to put the cover on the boat when I am not using it. I wonder if taking a piece of seaboard with some T nuts in it epoxied on the underside of the gunnel would work for attachment. That way you could bolt and un-bolt pretty easy. Any of you guys out there with more boat knowledge than I do have any thoughts on that?

If I understand what you are saying, you want to unbolt the bracket each time you use it? Its a major contortioning act to get it bolted up to begin with so I would say that would get old real quick.

My description is confusing and would be better explained in a sketch. The end result of what I am thinking of would allow you to bolt it on and off from the top side. You would have threaded holes ready to receive the plate and bolts.

be easier IMO to just have your cover modified to fit.. I think the new covers from yamaha have the pocket built into them for the mount.

Looks great! Lately, we have been fishing out of our 230 and it would be really nice to have a trolling motor. Not going to happen on a 230 though. Again, nicely done @kthrash !

I would like to know for sure if the mount will destroy the hull. I understand some have had trouble with the strength of the OEM mount as well. I will ask the technician if a large plate can be installed under the mount sandwiching the fiberglass. Maybe a tight install will keep damage from happening.

Factory mount was fine on my 190FSH with an 80lb thrust motor, the factory mount on my 210FSH with a 112lb thrust motor tore the front of my boat up.

My 80 lb thrust trolling motor (see signature) was mounted using the OEM mount, and all is well 2.5 years later. BTW, I use my trolling motor for long periods of time on nearly every outing. I use the Spot Lock feature instead of my anchor, and the 8 foot tides here are fairly swift in the sounds and salt creeks. I only use the real anchor with the sand spike when anchoring off a beach.

Greetings - I appreciate all of the good info, I've got a 210 FSH on order and have been trying to educate myself about several things most relevant being trolling motor choice and size, the other being the factory mooring cover so here goes:

I'll be keeping the boat docked in the water (Great Lakes - Erie), I'm wondering if the factory mooring cover is designed well enough to easily be used and taken on/off while in the water or would I be better off with a custom made version?

My trolling motor thoughts are to limit weight with a 24 volt 80 lb thrust 60 inch unit. Am I thinking correct here or am I making a mistake?

I am using an 80lb, 24 volt 60 inch with batteries in the console and it does great. Get a plug so you can easily take it on and off so the mooring cover will fit. It is a great cover and you can take it on and off on the water.
