Oil in hull

The dealer was probably assuming you would have hit 20 hours in the first season.... You have had this going on 4 years and never did any service to it? Again the manual tells you xx hours or xx time (months).
Nope. No service at all.

Wow that's one rusted up oil filter. You need to change it every year and maybe spray it with Yamaha lube or some other anti rust spray.

I understand what the dealer may have told you however, the manufacture manual trumps what the dealer is saying. We are all just here to help and you are seeing the effects of not changing the oil. Typically conventional oil in an engine should sit no more than 6 months while a synthetic oil can sit for up to a year. (Which happens to coincide with what the recommended maintenance in the owners manual says) If you bought this back in 2019 you are a few years over due on the oil change and it will not protect the engine old oil dries out and wont properly lubricate your engine.

Once you get it all ironed out and it's running fine remember that it needs to be put away clean, dry and inspected inside and out for the "unexpected".
Good Luck.

4 years and no service in no good at all. No matter how many hours on it.
That filter could be rusted through and seeping oil

Sheesh. Thank you so much for the information.
