On the water Help User Group - Join to Help or post @HELP when you are in urgent need

I changed the group name to HELP and edited the first post.

18 members have joined so far. @HELP you should receive a test alert for this post.

I believe that we will have enough members sign up that it will not be necessary to distribute phone numbers. I have sent my number to a few members when I was available to help. But I think it is too much to ask of individual members to distribute their phone numbers. With everyone sharing the load that should not be necessary.

So if you go to your alerts tab you don't see the original "you have been tagged......"?

If you check the list one time and follow a link to a thread and then come back, they all are un highlighted like you have read them. This happens to me a lot on my mobile device and I get confused on what I've read already.

Here is a screen shot of my alerts. It shows that I did not receive an alert on the test message or when Bruce tagged me in this thread. I am at home sitting on my PC.

If you know how I can fix that, please let me know.

@Volffas, you did not receive the alert for my tagging you in this thread because you received the alert that I replied. Xenforo only sends one alert per thread.

But I have some work to do next week to figure out why you did not get the alert for the test thread.

What about an app that sends notifications to your phone? I only use jbn on my phone and that'd be nifty.
Maybe an old aol chat room style app

It seems that the Xenforo alert system is not sending the alert to all of us. I will look through the code next week and hopefully modify it to force it to send the alert.
