Since the 2020 Yamaha Boats are out and don't have any real changes other than continually higher prices. If I was looking for a new boat, any other brands that have a similar Stern seating area like the Yamahas? I seem to remember a V-Drive Wakeboat at the boat show last year, that had these weird little angled, bucket like seats, but they looked uncomfortable, I think it was on a Mastercraft, so it was probably $150k. I love or 212X and have always liked the stern seating area, it's where we spend 90% of our time the boat isn't moving. But just curious what other options are out there with a similar layout.

I have a 22' Chaparral with similar seating and backrests. It too has a large swim platform and cup holders for drinks. The swim platform is entirely flat with no raised sides. IMO this makes it easier getting on and off with tied up to a dock (especially carrying little ones). I believe Scarab has the same also.

Here's a pic of a Regal 21' sterndrive, great boats, prices are higher than the Yamahas but the fit and finish is fantastic on these boats.

Nice boat. That tower is mounted really far back though. Never seen one like that.
Agreed they put the same one on the 19 footer's and it really looks odd (IMHO), but it is a power tower and folds nicely in front of and below the windscreen...

That Searay is sexy. Man I wish I had all the monies to spend it on all the boats

How about a Nautique G23?

I would look at Scarab. The new Rotox 300 is pretty nice. I had a Scarab 165 before Yamaha and I loved the boat, just a bit too small.

Regal's 23 footer has really nice and highly configurable rear seating area. Less mainstream but of immense build quality, check out the Bryant Calandra. When trying to compare prices, keep in mind these boats from other manufacturers can usually be negotiated down 15-20% without much trouble, so you can't compare MSRP to MSRP.

Regal and Sea Ray make excellent boats with rear seating. Those are the only two I will look at when it’s time to move on from my 242se. Yamaha’s prices are creeping up too high especially for 27’.

Btw: Greenline Neo is one of the most impressive OB boats I have seen... if you have $$$$$

Hopefully it isn't G23 money......
