Look much better and easy replacement, just have to file the hole a bit to get a nice tight fit..I put a small bead of 3M 5200 around the edge.

I would use 4200 just in case you ever need to remove one.

So I picked these up but found that the old Water Bypass' were quite a bit smaller than the 1/2 ones. I could certainly open up the hole to install them but the rubber hose from the engines would not fit at that point either. Did I simply buy the wrong size or are folks doing the hoses and opening up the holes?

I bought the smaller ones for my 2011 and realized, I could have gone for the 1/2" ones instead. In my case, I just clamped the hose down tighter. In your case, you may want to test fit on the hose inside the hull before opening the holes in the hull bigger.

If they don't fit the hose, then exchange for the smaller. Replacing the hose makes little sense for the cost of just ordering new outlets.

Good luck.

Thanks Biffdotorg. Helpful information. I am guessing I want/need the 3/8" ones then. I will reach out to ADA about doing an exchange.

I would offer to swap you for my 3/8, but mine are blue anodized. Might not look good on red.

Ironically I wanted silver anyway and they didn't have the 1/2" in silver so I ended up with black. Hopefully if/when they take the 1/2" black ones back I can get 3/8" silvers.

I just replaced mine. You'll need to stretch the hose slightly to get it to fit on the 1/2" fitting. Using a high-tech device (;)), I was able to get them stretched perfectly to fit. Push the hose over the end of a silicone tube and let sit in the sun for a bit.

Nice! I actually already heard back from ADA and they are going to refund after I ship back to them. Then I can proceed with the 3/8" order in the color I wanted to begin with. Things just seem to work themselves out...I wonder how I can ensure that the ones that are in there now are 3/8" LOL

 You'll be happy once installed. They look much better than the plastic. My rears were a PITA to get to in order to replace but well worth it once installed!

Nice! Was hoping to see feedback like that. Yeah they appear to be very nice pieces. Just didn't fit for me LOL

So to clarify, is 3/8 for all boats or 3/8 for older and 1/2 for newer?
Asking because i got the ok to start overhauling boat appearances(like my boat can get any sexier)

The 1/2" worked great for my 2008 232 Limited. Either would have worked but I chose to go with the bigger dia. for a more snug fit.
Not sure if the dia. has changed by boat years?

'19 242 LSE here... Are they 3/8 or 1/2 inch pissers? and 3/4 for Bilge is still correct?

Did these fit without modification or stretching of the hose? Trying to determine if I need 1/2 inch or 3/8 for our 09 232.
