Portable toilets in a 242

if you remember some do's and don't' having a head on board is easy to manage. Here are some.
1. Get a good one
2. Get a small one
3. Never forget to throw in an enzyme packet and a cup of water.
4. Don't empty (unless you are sure #1 is only there) for a couple of days to let the enzymes work to liquefy the waste.
5. Don't fill up the flushing reservoir - just enough for 15 flushes is my rule (you can always add more. This makes it easier to take in/out of the boat.

For guests over 5' and not a contortionist, I use a pop up tent, pull back the carpet and set the toliet at the stern. Any accidents gets sprayed down with the onboard shower hose ( never hapened)

Does anyone know if a Thetford 345 will fit in a 2015 242 Limited S or should I go with a Thetford 135?

I didn't put near as much thought or money into this issue, and I only have a 21'. Close the windshield and the air dam and throw some towels over. 5-gallon bucket with a seat lined with a trash bag and kitty litter, done! Fits in the compartment behind the captain's chair. First to use it has to empty it.

Ditto on the luggable loo. And if it’s not used, you’ve got a pail that you can carry and store things in. Doubles as a garbage too. I did pick up a pop up tent too for on shore privacy or changing .... but my boat has a big enough head compartment in an emergency on board. And I hope not to use it for that. ?

I have a luggable Loo on mine + a gatorade bottle for the guys who need to go and can't get into the lake.

The rule with the luggable loo is: you dirty it, you clean it. It stays clean!
