Hi everyone, recently just joined and posted an intro in the new member section. The wife and I are looking to upgrade from out 2012 Speedster to a 2015 AR240 as early as next week. Timing wise, that may work to our advantage because of Black Friday and taxes being raised 1.5% starting next year.

With that, I have an idea on a few immediate accessories I'm looking to pick up and I'm hoping to find a vendor who has the items on a "Black Friday" sale. The items I'm consider are:

Seadek for cockpit and rear deck
Factory black Yamaha boat cover (unless there's a better option out there)
Cobra Jet steering system or Thrust Vectors (haven't decided yet which one but I am leaning towards the Cobra setup).

IF the prices where too good to be true, then I'd consider upgrading the stereo system to more than likely a JL Audio setup although I'd be open to similar options. This is probably out of the budget for now considering the boat itself is quite the purchase. But for sure, the mats and cover and ideally, a steering system.

With that, and being new to this forum, is there a "Go-to" website, vendor etc for up-coming Black Friday sales? I saw there was a vendor section and such but it looks fairly inactive. Or, is it typical to just visit the actual vendors websites directly to try and find the deals?

Welcome to the forum!

As far as SeaDek goes the best time to buy is in September/August when @JetBoatPilot does the Group Buy and you save 30%. I don't think the Black Friday deals would be any better than that but I understand not wanting to wait until next fall to purchase it. Love my SeaDek!

Not sure about other vendors but Will with @JetBoatPilot is going to run Black Friday deals. Here's the preview they sent out http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?m=1113287395216&ca=bca0df81-531a-4968-b7ee-e5e12e765b91

Awesome, thanks for the preview! I'll have to see about getting on their mailing list so I dont miss out. I may be misunderstanding it but their Seadek ad there says save 25% but then next it to it says super 50% off.

Is there a "go-to" for OEM Yamaha parts? In the car world there's always an online vendor or dealership who discounts OEM parts fairly well so I'm hoping to find one of those. I saw 1 ad for the factory Yamaha boat cover I'm looking to get but still looking for more prices. If (when), we buy this boat, the dealer does give employee pricing on accesories but I've found sometimes online prices are still often better. I do like supporting local businesses but to an extent. If I'm saving $50 here and maybe there sure, but if I'm saving hundreds, well, that's a lot harder to swallow.

I would contact Will on here (@JetBoatPilot) about his SeaDek savings during Black Friday just so you're sure what is on sale and what isn't. The website is a little confusing for me right now. He will let you know for sure what he is offering.

I get my oil change, spark plugs and maintenance related parts from https://www.partzilla.com. Super fast shipping and good prices!!

Many use yamahasportsplaza for OEM parts and covers https://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/oemparts/c/yamaha_sport_boat/parts. I think they sell the OE covers cheaper than most places. They also have great exploded views to use so you can see what the part is you need.

Sorry for that. The 50 off is for clearance items but ended up being a typo in the preview. We'll correct tomorrow. 25 off SeaDek which is nearly as good as the 30 off during group buy.
