I have a 2016 AR240. I am replacing the stock speakers with Polk 6.5s and I'm adding a bazooka tube for a little extra bass.

For the powered sub, running the power to the battery and the remote turn on(blue wire correct?) is easy enough.

Where are you getting your input from? is there a sub out on the Polk or are you splicing into the wires?

And does anyone have a manual link for the stereo on these boats?

Thanks!

Which head unit comes with your boat? There is likely a pre amp output on the back.

Looks like there is two sets of pre outs.

Ok, now I'm seeing this more clearly. Wouldn't I want to use the Aux output instead on the right or left? Assuming those are for tower speakers.

I have the identical boat and speaker set up aside from an additional 2 Bazooka tower speakers. Are you going to put power to your 6.5's? I have an 8 channel amp and the passive tube but I believe that if you are just running the powered sub that you could run it off either the "Front" or "Rear" pre-outs. Depending on which you choose it would "fade" accordingly w the out you choose. I picked up a bass controller off Amazon so I can dial back the sub/towers independently. Super cheap and effective...I believe Bazooka sells their own bass remote control too.

That's the next piece to the puzzle, hooking up an amp to the 6.5s. I'm not looking for blow you out of the boat sound. Just want a little more bass and clarity.

I really love the sound of my set up. I have the 10" sub and it really puts out some sound. It's louder than I need and makes everything sound full and rich...plus, I didn't have to break the bank or cut into the boat. I may put a vent under the steering wheel next year. It's not Wet Sounds or JL which I almost pulled the trigger on but for a 1/3 of the cost and simplicity of the install I couldn't be happier. My wife thinks it's too loud as it is(sound familiar anyone;). It definitely thumps and Polks have great mids/highs for my application. It's great for pulling up to the beach and partying all day.

That's pretty much all we do, anchor and swim. The stock stereo is OK but I need a little more bass for my tastes. I'm planning on mounting the tube all the back under the starboard bench. Tons of space in there. Considering removing one of the cup holders for a port.
So many thing to do, too little money. So far I've purchased Veve's, Seadek for the cockpit, sub, speakers, anchors, boards, etc, etc. Before bimini I need a radio, nav, etc. It never ends!

It never does but it's all so much fun! I put my sub in the helm storage behind wheel. Fits great but you're right, in the back is plenty of room. I tried it there and loved the location and sound as long as the seat was up(trial run). Lmk if the cup holder gives enough venting. Also thought about installing a 10" sub grill if so. An amp is definitely going to give you the power you want...next year right! I could enjoyably spend money every week if my wife was down. The tower speakers are real nice for that beach fun application.
