Hey all. Soon to be owner of a 2009 212X and I’m just getting info now before I need it. I plan to do oil and plugs myself but if I need to have more work done where should I take my boat? What service shops do people in the Raleigh NC area use for YJBs?

Chatlee Marine in Sanford is your only real dealer option. Not sure of an individual mechanics that may work on them. Congrats on the boat, I had an 09 and loved it.

Thanks! I saw Chatlee was the closest but wasn't sure if there were local independent shops people trusted.

Hi, and good luck with your boat ! The guy I bought my 242 from highly recommended
Watercraft Concepts - Personal Watercraft Repair, Jet Ski Repair, Sea Doo Repair, and they are local.
I havent used them yet, since so far I have done my own services, except what was covered under warranty. I hear they have a good mobile service, so it might be worth checking them out. I think the owner's name is Steve. Hope to see you out there soon.

My suggestion, @scottrus71 ,is to stop by here first. In the unlikely event you experience an issue, it is probable a number of us have already worked through it.

Of course this! I’m not experienced doing major engine repair despite owning tools and opportunity to do so ?. Consulting the community on troubleshooting and repair is always the first step though! Thanks!
