I have friends heading to Destin for a wedding and they were concern about red tide. I said I had not heard of it in Destin however I said I would ask folks on the Forum. I do know it is bad over by Tampa area.

Thanks for any info you can provide

It is present from Naples up to the Tampa area at this time.

Up at the panhandle they should be fine.

Down my way it's bad enough. We were out last week and there were dead floating 2 or 3 miles off shore. There are dead fish on the beach as well. When you hit pockets of the red tide you start coughing.

We did see a few dolphin in the area so that tells me there are are still fish in the area. Back after Irma it was bad for 18 months and you rarely saw dolphin.

Never seen it in Navarre/Destin but you do need to watch for jellyfish swarms rolling in sometimes.

I was out in Tampa Bay Sunday, no stink or dead fish, other than the usual lol.
