These people passed us while we were towing our boat today. They were going 75-80, towing a camper, bikes and boat. Not sure exactly what happened, whether it was excessive trailer sway or they didn’t have the boat strapped down properly.

Bad day for these folks!

Ouch. How could that happen if the boat is securely tied down?

Rotation speed in a Cessna 172 is 60 knots. If you're gonna trailer at these speeds you best know how to tie a knot
 
That's terrible.... however, whats even more complexing to me is what is the guy in the side rear view mirror doing? LOL!!!

Ouch. How could that happen if the boat is securely tied down?

Awful lot of people who think that transom straps are optional.
 
Looks like the winch and bow stop are still attached to the boat.... And obviously, no longer attached to the trailer. :oops:
