For those of you with RGB controllers, did you wire it directly to the house battery, a fuse block, or did you tap into an existing switch i.e. the auxiliary switch on the helm?

wired mine to small fuse box behind helm. fues box fed by 8ga wires back to batteries with 50a circuit breaker

I also installed to a fuse block behind my helm connecte directly to my house battery. If my house batterie is on so are my speaker LED Lights which are running off of the stereo output. If im navagating after dark and need them off I just use my LED remote control to turn them off.

I have a left over fuse box and a 60a breaker from a previous project. I need to check i think I have 4 guage wire left over as well..
I have been debating installing in the helm or where the battery switch and my noco charger are. Maybe on the opposite wall next to the sub, which is behind the passenger seat.

the rgb lites are the only accessory plugged into my fuse box. when/if i add more things, i will add switches on the dash.

currently i turn the speaker lites on/off with the circuit breaker (near batteries in port rear compartment).
we aren't out much at night, so that's worked fine for me.

fuse box location prob based on future accessory wants?
i'm wantng to add a chartplotter and a vhf radio at some point, so helm made sense to me.

I added a fuse block in the Battery compartment and another fuse block under the helm.
