Sandbar Rear Anchor

I make these in my garage in about 10 minutes. I have two on the boat and they are all I use at the sandbar. Our sandbar is packed with boats on the weekend and all of the anchor lines get to be a hassle. You don't even need the augur, you can just cut the end of the pipe on a steep angle and it will drive through the sand with ease.

Nice! Where do you get the auger bit from? Is it something you can get at Home Depot or you have to order online?

I am planning on making these over the winter also and started searching for the auger bit.... go figure, searching Google for 30 minutes and it ends up shipping me back to jetboaters.net!

Yep just ordered 2. Going to make 2 over the winter as well.

Anyone have any thoughts on what would it would take to make these home made ones float? I noticed the Anchorhog ones pride themselves on being one of the only ones on the market that float. Would it be as simple as filling the tube with spray installation foam?
