I've had my boat on the water twice this season both this past weekend and those were the first 2 times this season for us since we've owned the boat.

On the first outing (Saturday) the screws in the floor locker hinge towards the stern came out. I opened the door and it pooped up due to the gas shock attached. Weird right ?

Well Today, the screws, both of them fell out of the door to the head closet door on the top hinge. One popped out and rolled onto the floor. The other's stayed in place but the door came off the hinge all together.

Now the floor door I found some screws that were close but had a little more bite and had no problem screwing them in and getting the door fixed. I guess I will have to do the same on the head door but does anyone find it odd that these screws are falling out ?? The boat is still under warranty but it will be easier for me to just pick up some stainless steel screws and replace them...but a boat within this price range should not be losing screws like this.

What do you guys think ?

Screws should not be falling out but I believe you are right that it would be less painful to simply replace the screws yourself than giving up the time to have the dealer cover it under warranty.

If you bring it to the dealer to fix they will keep it for 2 weeks. Then you're really screwed. :)

I agree with you that it shouldn't be happening. I have found random screws, nuts, washers, etc. underneath the seat compartments in the bow and cockpit. Makes me wonder where the heck they are coming from. The nut and washers also fell off the wire that holds the wakeboard tower from falling too far when you let it down.

Along with the sound deadening, cup holders and seats these 2015/16 boats are falling apart :( .

So, clearly all 2015/16 24 foot Yamaha owners have a screw loose.
I had my dealer address most of these issues while the boat was in for other warranty work. There are various reasons for them not staying in place. Some have no material behind them to bite into (they are hitting the cut-out). Bolts with screw heads could use a bit of loctite to keep them in place. Just a heads-up, check the speaker screws, bench seat hinge bolts, helm door frame screws, and most importantly, I almost lost the spring-loaded lock pin on the table mount; if you tighten the plastic nut-cap all the way, then the pin doesn't engage the table leg won't lock it in place, so it needs to be left loose with loctite to stay attached.
