As any one tried the Sentry boat fenders by Mission Boat Gear? They seem intriguing. I’m not trying to sell anything or advertise a product, just wondering if they are worth the cost. The concept seems like they would work better than general fenders. Looking if anyone has real experience with them. Purchased a new boat this year and I want to keep it off the docks.

I got them but haven't tried them out yet! Looking forward to it though.

If you get to use them soon, can you give some feedback? I still have about 5-6 weeks before I can get out - the ice is still about two feet thick up here.

@wallacerb reviewed them on his youtube channel

What they said - in @wallacerb review. Those work well on stern cleats - with Yamaha super low profile stern.

Ordered them on the black friday sale, will use them as soon as the damn ice melts in Wisconsin... sometime around mid-July.

I have them and they work awesome. Well worth the money.

I bought one just to use on whatever stern side is up against the dock.

I bought 2 at the boat show in Mpls. Will prob buy 2 more at the Sportshow this weekend. Hoping the work as good as they look, but won't know until the ice is gone.

I finally pulled the trigger two days ago and bought just 1 to test. I plan on testing it while docking and undocking (not tying up against another boat, yet) hopefully this weekend. I'm interested in seeing how it acts while handing from the bow and coming into the dock while docking. Specifically, if it's just dangling there like a standard bumper will it spin or get caught up as I approach the dock and possibly contact bow first then mid then stern. I'm 99% sure it'll be money on the stern cleat which I'll still test as well as the mid cleat. If it works out in terms of grabbing it from its storage location, looping it/tying it off versus tying a knot and locking into place "quickly" then I'll purchase 1-2 more. The goal is to make it "easier' for my wife to grab the bumpers when we're coming into a busy dock just more efficiently (ie quicker but not to dangerously rush) and feel more confident it's going to be done correctly.

Where's the best price?

You can order b stock direct from mission. Just type it in the search bar on their website. I did not find any deals on the price anywhere else. Everyone was full price. Wish I was paying attention when the 30% off happened a while back. B stock was $10 off of normal price. I busted two of my regular fenders last year one was pretty bad to begin with and the other was me being a little more than stupid. so I guess it was time for new ones anyway.

I dont used sentry boat fender, I used Polyform G Series boat fenders I can recommend for you that. This fender is very good quality. It is built to be thicker and heavier which evidently.I like this product because it has 6 different sizes so I can choose which fit with my boat and it can be capable of holding air excellently.

I went with extra large cylinder bumpers. I can only store three of these in my boat and they take up a lot of space, but I only need to hang two at any dock and it keeps the boat well far away from being smashed up. The Sentry bumpers in that video look nice for calm water, but there's not a lot of room for error on the vertical if you get some big waves.
