Welcome aboard @RV JetCat !! Feel free to start a new thread and tell us about the jet boat you have down under.

IMG_2165 (640x396).jpg Rodger that njmr2fan,

Briefly Jet cat is a design Ive been playing with for some time, decided to build a prototype. this version is for rescue and recovery and emergency services, and would do well for military applications.
Power plants: 2x weber 155 Tc married to 612 Scott 2 stage jet units, still playing with impellor pitch but to date we get 35kts @6000 rpm 7-10 ltr per hour fuel burn.
Re pitch should get 45kts+ not sure if I want to take it that quick.
Happy to answer any other questions. may be good for your part of the world?
Cheers

Is it Summer yet?

boat with John on it.jpg

Since winter has just seemed to show its face here in Ohio and I typically get the boat out end of March... let me do the math... only a couple more months till I'm on the water!!! Time flew by this off season.

I guess you missed the news report last night about El Nino causing the mid west and ohio valley to have an extended freeze into May.

IMG_0194.JPG IMG_0195.JPG I even covered my Boat up for winter....I never do that LOL

Just turned winter here!

The weather hasn't been too cold and we usually will go out during the winter so we don't really put her up for the winter.
The lake has been at flood level (this was 12-31 and it is higher now) and as you can see our boat is hanging in there! :arghh:
I do worry about her!

HOLY CATS!!! You'll need all of the cat's load capacity to carry ammo to feed 6 Gatling miniguns! LOL

Great looking rendering. Good luck.

You say I can get a "recreational version" of that?

So. . . are the tower mounted guns automated? Going to be kind of hard to man those. . . . . Additionally, the armor plating on all of them them appears to be relatively flat (without angle) so if it is hit the round will not be deflected away from the person manning the turret. It should have some degree of angle to deflect the round and not make the plate take the entire impact directly if at all possible.
