After being dropped off at the dock to get the trailer, my friend was piloting the boat and hit the rear starboard corner of my AR 240 HO on the dock. Later on (while performing deep-breathing exercises in order not to kill my friend :) ) I was buffing out the scuff mark caused by the collision. Regrettably, I also noticed tiny cracks around the point of impact.

There are hardly noticeable, and can be seen in certain light and angles.

My question. Is this something that I should worry about and get fixed immediately, or just chalk it up as one of life's hard knocks? Thank you for the help.

@Glassman is the expert.
Pictures would help.

Happened to me three years ago pulling away from the dock, back end swung around and bumped the docks and cracked the clear coat. Bothered me at first. I have not gotten it repaired and no ill effects.
