So, I stepped on the boat right on the seat cushion and the poly board (not exactly sure what it's made out of) cracked underneath. Has anyone had this happen and what did you do to repair.
Sorry, I didn't think to take pictures. I was thinking that I could screw some planks to it to reinforce. Thoughts?

You can use a long strip of PVC board. I did metal brackets but not as strong as I had hoped, though it still works. Took over a year to get the replacement seat.

Yes happen to me. Just buy a new cushion. Roughly $275 I recall. Babbits is where I got mine.

I did fix it with strips of PVC board, 5200 glue and stainless steel screws. It seems to be pretty solid.
