Hi all,
Does anyone know where I would find the serial number on a sport jet 90 powerhead? Seems my boat was repowered with a quicksilver motor. They put their own tag on it with a serial number that doesn't help for ordering parts. Merc doesn't recognize it. I'm hoping there is another spot on the block or a casting that could help me out. The serial number on the jet pump is OE078530
The boat is said to be a 1995 thundercraft typhoon, a Canadian boat. I believe in 96 they were bought out by Doral and continued making the typhoon.
I've got the flywheel issue with loose magnets but my stator looks OK. I think I caught it right in the nick of time. I'm trying to figure out which part number will work. My motor has the black stator with cdi setup. If there is anyone who KNOWS which flywheel part number I need please share.
They are expensive new or used and I've got no problem spending the money to fix it, I just want to make sure its the right flywheel, the first time...
I can't afford to be guessing on parts at 1000.00CAD per flywheel. Or buying one just to realize i then have to buy a new stator and ignition box.
Thanks for your time,
Here is a picture of my stator.
and this is all I can find for a serial number.

Love the sound of crickets...
So, let's try another question.
Does anyone have any experience re attaching magnets to a flywheel? Does anyone know the orientation of the magnetic poles on the flywheel magnets? There is tons of stuff online/YouTube so I know its possible to reglue magnets but with 4 of the 6 loose, sort of easy to mess it up while guessing which way they went.
