SS scupper Valve Yamaha 195s

Maybe it was just my 192’s scupper placement but it was a couple of inches above the waterline and it had a splash guard in front of it to prevent water rushing back through the scupper tubing and it’s more protected from UV light. Not sure where they have the scupper on the larger boats so perhaps it’s just different? Idk, I guess you could look at it from the other side and say only 2 known failures is pretty darn good when taking into account how many boats are out there since they moved the scupper location years ago. However stainless steel would always be better so if it helps you sleep better at night go fo it. I still don’t think it’s a necessary upgrade given only 2 failures on here but there’s no price on having a clear conscious out on the water so do what makes you feel the best.

My 192’s scupper location for reference...
