Hi starboard tach not working switched wire from port side tach works seems like not getting signal from engine anybody got a idea .

Check all connections down the line as far as you can trace it. Make sure things are tight and appear normal behind the dash.

Check ground wires (if any) behind dash.

Just simple advice, sorry I don't have specifics.

Anybody do any work on the boat recently?

Check all fuses onboard including the fuses in the ECU box.

check your connection on the port side behind circle cover in the engine compartment, this is where you can connect the computer diagnostic tool at, you can switch the connections there also to help isolate if the problem,

I agree with the guys above. Like @Scottintexas pointed out, the techs are disabled when the YDS software is being used. So it's quite possible that one of those plugs is disconnected. Especially if you've had anybody hook up a diagnostic tool recently. Good luck, hope you find it easily enough.

I have checked the fuses all ok . I have not had any work done on the boat but that's not to say other owners didn't . I have had the cover off the port side to fix rear light and did see all the wires. What should I be looking for that may be disconnected to read computer.
