We picked up a '21 195S at the end of the season and only got out a few times before the end of the season. One thing I noticed that was a bit annoying was that when you turn the boat off, even if you don't turn the key all the way, the connext screen and stereo shut off and then basically needs to reboot in order to listen to music while parked. Is there any way to work around this so the music won't be interrupted? It's a small thing but I do find it to be irritating.

My radio has 2 hot wires and remains hot even if keys are not in the ignition, but the batt switch does have to be on.............second hot on my radio holds memory and time.
I'll be honest my SX240 is a 2013 and the complexity of the Connext system on the newer boats would give me pause but would not scare me as long as the radio is a separate unit from the Connext system.....it sounds like it was just wired to the ignition key. The Yamaha radios I've seen use the yellow as hot on the stereo if a volt meter shows it go's dead when key is turned off that will be your wire to hot/splice wire from another switch on your dash like the bilge switch which should be on if your are on the water anyway. The 12v power from said switch should keep her up and running when key go's off.

A Dealer service manual for your year can be purchased on line.........mine was around 25 bucks back in 2020 its nice to have a complete wire diagram and all things a dealer service Tech needs to keep her running at your fingertips

Just a thought...... and sorry for the rambling this covid bug has kicked my back side a little hard the last few weeks and I'm a little tired and foggy lack of sleep.

Hope this helps a little
