Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. I'm doing my homework before purchasing a Scarab jet boat. I would like to purchase a 19 footer, but I need to store it inside my garage because I don't have side or back yard. So I'm looking at the 16 footer which would for sure fit but basically I have no other option. The 19 footer would be my ideal.

I have a single car garage and the width of entrance of the door is 8 feet. Does a 19 footer fit through there with the trailer?
I was wondering if anyone has been able to store a 19 footer inside a single car garage. The salesperson told me that its doable but I don't want to risk it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!!!!

I would have the dealer bring the 19' by your house and see if it will fit. I know my trailer has a fold away tongue so that's an option you will probably need.

You could get a 10 foot wide 8 foot tall door installed. If there is room of course.

I think it depends on how far you are willing to go. As long as it is within the dimensions of the door itself you should be able to get it in the garage. I'd start by taking measurements of the boat on the trailer. Don't forget about the length of the trailer with the tongue extended and folded if it folds at all. If all that checks out you may want to look into the trailer valet II to position the boat without a tow vehicle and / or a caster under the tongue to keep it low so that windshield and/or folded tower will clear the top of the garage door.

Height will be your problem if you get a wake tower unless you get a newly built one after they switched to the new style that folds in half backwards. If you get a tower that just tilts forward it will not fit under a standard 7' tall garage door. I speak from experience. :/
