Update. Thanks @Ronnie I ordered the same but in blue and can confirm that the "Y" (for Yamaha) plug works. Its actually a few mm wider than the factory landyard.
@W3bexec - glad you got the lanyard problem figured out. I had what I will call a worse situation yesterday where my fuel line shutoff valves were "off" and it kept the boat from running; it did start in my driveway before we left and for short periods when in the water. I didn't figure it out until we aborted the trip and had the boat back in the driveway. You will get in a routine
Lol @4x15mph , I had a similar experience the first time my son and I took a pwc we were rebuilding for him to the water. We cranked the engine in and out of the water until the battery died, over 30 minutes. Got 15 minutes into my Pwc’s battery my son ask, “dad what is does this knob on the (other) side, the side I can’t see, do?”, “oh, that is the fuel switch son, it should not be on “Off” like it is.
Like you said, once you get a routine down with your boat things get a lot smoother.
