Finally! … sucked in a wakeboard rope. It was a lot of rope (over 50 ft). After removing all the rope, I noticed the white circular piece held in by screws was broken (see pic I pulled from Internet to show entire piece). Anyone know what the piece is called?

Yeah you have to pull the whole pump, probably the easier part of the job. The pvc joint pipe wasn’t easy coming out, it was glued in pretty good and it’s hard to get a good angle on it without damaging the gel coat

Thanks for the confirmation. I have ordered the part and will be attempting my first jet pump disassembly this weekend!

**Update** Took the boat off the lift, now first hour in working under the boat on the trailer. Basically, have only detached my cobra steering mechanism. After encounter difficulty removing the 4 bolts to begin pulling the pump, I was about to give up and called my local boat shop but they said they had a 3-4 week backup! So I’m back at it. lol

-Using Leon’s video for steps to pull pump

-will use @Dave burke’s thread on steps to access and replace the joint pipe. I didn’t know I had to open up the access from the cleanup port too!

-right after I post this, I am headed to buy some silicone.

More burnt rope (moreso handle) on the axle…

I’m at point where I’m going to stop because it appears the fiberglass surrounding the joint pipe is compromised 😢 … which will mean I’ll have to involve a pro and submit an insurance claim. See pics - 2nd pic is from below the boat. Any thoughts on my assessment?
