Swim Deck Shower

I disconnected the output hose from the pump and turned it on at the helm to reprime the system after I ran It dry. Worked perfectly. If I ever have to "fix" this again I would start by upgrading to a bigger pump. I think I'd have a hard time finding another one as small as the stock unit. Other than that I love have the fresh water shower (oh it would be nice to have warm water as well, in case Yamaha is lurking).
Just plumb into the pisser that comes off the thermostat @Ronnie. Instant hot water. That's assuming you don't mind showering while the engine is running. :winkingthumbsup"

Last weekend while I was de-winterizing I filled the tank for the fresh water shower and discovered there is a leak in the hose to the shower head. I'm planning to tackle it this weekend but I'm not sure how to access it. It looks like the only way to get to it is to yank the speaker on the swim deck which doesn't leave a lot of room to work. Does anyone know of a better way to reach it?

I realized today on my '12 242 the shower tank is under the starboard rear cushion. Now that I found it, it actually looked easy to reach, if I ever need to.

Fixed, boy did that suck! This weekend I replaced the hose for the swim deck shower. I didn't remove the speaker because I figured if I could reach the hose connection that way there was no way I could use any tools with one arm and working blind, so I removed the tank and went in that way. I'm 6 foot 200 pounds; climbing in the hole under the cushion and trying to work was no easy task.

Behind the tank there is a wall to remove with 2 screws at the bottom. The hose is connected to a fitting on the other side of that wall. Turns out the hose was fine and had only come loose of that fitting. I replaced it anyway with a stainless shower hose because I've never liked having to fight to get the stock hose in and out of the hole for the shower head, it would always bind and kink. Got it all back together and the new hose pulls out and goes back in very smoothly. It was a pain in the ass (and my back) but I'm happy I took the time to do it.

"I'm 6 foot 200 pounds; climbing in the hole under the cushion and trying to work was no easy task." That's why most of us have kids or grandkids...They fit easily in those spaces and work for soda instead of beer, which is more expensive. Glad you got it fixed.

I have to try this tomorrow and not looking forward to it, but it drives me crazy with the way water trickles out the hose.
