Are there any other real differences between the two besides the Tower/non-tower and the seating configuration... the j style versus the double Captains chairs ??

I believe you may find that the SX with a standard bimini top, will run out about 3-4 mph faster as well. I compared specs between the 2023 SX195 and the AR195 I ended up purchasing, but these are supercharged boats. The tower does add some weight.
Tower and seating are the only differences. If you need to store the boat in a garage, opt for a non-tower. Otherwise, the tower adds a bit more resale.
Also, we weren't originally looking for a boat with a tower, but I bought our 212S with it for resale. Then, I was like "well, I might as well buy a wakeboard to try it out." Now I'm hooked on everything water sports - so just be warned!
