Hi all,

So I ran into a slight issue with the placement of the tabs. I have an aluminum trailer that has longer bucks then the stock trailer which will cause the mounting location of the tabs to be closer to the pump, not in the ideal spot (from what I have read). Will mounting closer to the pump cause any problems? or should I consider pulling the boat back on the trailer to install where the buck is? Any recommendations are welcomed. Thanks

Pull the boat back on the trailer. These should be out further. Just check to make sure you can mount the actuator to the swim platform.

Did a test fit with the tabs centered on the bunks, actuators stick out past the swim platform so that looks like a no go, would have to modify the mounting brackets to even have a chance. I would also be concerned about the possibility of the tabs hitting the bunks if they were accidentally still deployed while landing the boat.

m doing same boat and having hard time figuring out where to put them as well, did you end up screwing the hing to the under side of the boat?

Check out some of the pictures below, might give you a better look. I went with the hinge flat with the turned up edge of the tabs facing down. I can grab some better pictures tomorrow.

Mod 11: Trim Tabs
This one was stressful, got the tabs during the group buy and was really looking forward to having them. The alignment and installation proved to be a project, with a fair amount of debate on where the tabs should be mounted @Dean P helped a ton with the confirmation of placement on the tabs. It’s a tight fit on the 190 and my install is far from perfect but they do work and are a huge help with getting the boat on plane. The trailer made placement to the side impossible so close center was the only way to go. Drilling the holes isn’t difficult but I think @Betik said it best:

Thanks to @gthh for setting up the group buy, tabs would have been out of the question if it was not for the pricing.
