I am currently in the process of buying a 2015 SX210. It’s at a boat dealer near me, only has 15 hours on the engines!!! This boat looks brand new. The asking price is 34,800. Does this seem acceptable? I am looking to get 4K out of my trade, then get the price dropped to 30k even before tax and fees. Any input is greatly appreciated. I am upgrading from a 1989 Sea Ray 180BR.

Man I need to sell mine. I didn't pay that for it new

Hell I might sell mine for 32 with my ridesteady included

I’d pass on that boat based on the comment made by @djetok, and the fact that Just Add Water is the place that tried to charge me $13,000 for a new engine (I wouldn’t even go there for warranty work).

Take a look at the classifieds on this site and don’t be afraid to travel to get a good deal.

I don’t recall the changes from ‘11 to ‘15, but I’m selling mine for $22k. You could take a bit of the difference toward fixing the upholstery and feel like a new boat.

Has perfect pass and a lowrance gps unit among other things.

I’m only 4 hours from Indy. Happy to meet you half way, if you’re bringing a check. Lol :)

Act fast, it’s going to the dealer on Sat for trade-in evaluation. Let me know if you have any interest at all and I’ll delay the dealer.

It seems a bit high on the price. Good news though, there are thousands of members on here and someone is always looking to sell and someone is always looking to buy so you might want to throw that hook out there in the "general" population and see if you get a bite. Most of the time other people know that boat for sale and how it was taken care of... just sayin.

A few have said the price is high, but I’ve looked on eBay, the Internet, and 20 pages of classifieds here, and the price seems in line or even lower than most others. Am I crazy? Lol

I don’t really know. The important thing is to make a deal that you’re happy with and then use the heck out of it making memories. :)

If you’re comfortable, I say do it and don’t look back.

Figuring I paid 37 before taxes (all other dealer fees/freight included) for my brand new 2017 SX210, this deal sucks.

My good friend picked up his used 2017 SX210 a few months ago with around 50 hours for $29,500 in like new condition. I’d suggest don’t rush and you could find a better deal. Also I believe Yamaha redesigned the 210 in 2017.

2015 AR210

This is in NC, but a good deal on a tower boat.

Based on what a dealer offered me for a trade-in on a 2015 212X, that's their high-end asking price. I'm sure they would take the first $30k that walked in the door, but I'd start at $28k.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I’ve been considering trading/selling our current boat for 3-4 years now. After seeing my brother buy a brand new 2018 242S last year, let’s just say that was the final straw! The kids want new, I want new/used, and the wife wants new with only a $150/mo payment over no more than 10 years (hahahaha).

It's on the high end for sure. You can do better if you don't mind some trade offs like traveling or waiting. Buying locally may be worth something to you. You aren't a new boater, so you know what's ahead of you. It's not like you are going to need to sell it a couple of seasons later because you didn't know what boating entailed. If you are comfortable with the number you land on, go for it.

I'd look some more.. don't buy just to buy

I think the used prices have crept up higher and higher as the new prices have. If my wife would let me, I would sell mine for 31k as a real price with the ride steady and all the other stuff (sub, cobras, cobra megas) the only probably is i would have to pay all that extra money for a newer boat. Like some have said be patient. The one your looking at has the Galvanized trailer, and Thurst Vesctors. Hell you might offer him less money. Then trade the trailer for a painted trailer plus some cash. Who knows. @2015 SX210

Yeah, I keep looking and all I see are higher prices than this on older boats with more hours. This to me seems like a deal after everything I’ve seen. And yes I agree, seems priced on used boats have only gone higher and higher.

A deal is only a good deal if you're OK with the deal. Some might pass on that boat, others would jump on it. Do what you gotta do.
