The addition of the stainless steel washers are to keep the return spring away from the reverse bucket, and alleviate some of the side to side free play of the fins. I learned of the new hardware while watching an updated installation video. For some reason (maybe supply issues), that part of the video has been removed. Anyway, I requested the updated hardware and received it today. Parts-$5.95, Shipping-$8.95. We'll see if it makes any difference.

@RobbieO Thanks for posting this and letting members know!
please report if you notice any difference or improvements?

$8.95 to ship that?!?!

There are reports of those nylon bushings breaking. I would replace with stainless.

That's standard shipping price from USPS. Small priority box, no weight limit. I live in CA, and it shipped from FLA.

thats nothing, you gotta see what fedex and ups increases were over the past year. Parts i get sent and send out for my biz is easily 30% increase. Nothing is under 15 buxs now it seems no matter how small and light.

Do you also have a picture of the old hardware? I’m curious to see the differences between new vs old.

I ordered a set on the 11th and need to see what revision I have.

If you get stainless steel washers with your kit, then you'll have the latest hardware (4 washers). I would assume the installation directions will have been changed as well.
