Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Yeah, then that probably goes to where the speedometer wheel is. Or should be. I don't think they put the transducers on your year--just the little wheel thingy.
This is just my experience with a 2017 SX190. The anchor locker has a drain (no plug) which leads into the "ski locker" in the floor which has a drain plug. I find water in the ski locker from time to time from washing, rain during boating and probably a little from the wet anchor line. The ski locker drain plug dumps water into the hull of the boat which will drain to the rear of the boat and sit at the two rear drain plugs. The same thing goes for getting water in the engine compartment. which is where the bilge is located. It sits in the cut-out and catches water from the engine compartment and the lower bilge.
However, one day during an inspection I found that my gas tank locker had water in it too and the drain plug was installed. Turned out that the bulk head between the ski locker and the gas tank locker wasn't full fiberglassed/sealed and with enough water in the ski locker the water would seep through the holes and into the gas locker. Simple fix but was a bit perplexing.
