I'm wanting to buy Lowrance HDS Carbon 12 Fish Finder/Chartplotter Combo | Cabela's (cabelas.com) but I want to pair it with a "In" hull transducer. Do you lose any imaging with an in-hull transducer? (the transducer that comes with the fish finder has 3 in 1 imaging). I'm not wanting to drill any holes. Looking for some advice...Cabelas/BassPro are 6/8 weeks out for installs and want me to leave my boat at the store for basically 2 months...not going to do that. TIA

I'd like to know the same. I have a Lowrance Hook2 I haven't installed yet and the manual says the transducer can be used thru-hull. I plan on using it more for GPS/chartplotting than fishing sonar but I'd still like it to work reasonably well.
