I’m looking at running my transducer cable through the drain that goes into the main cabin. Running it into the drain hose and coming out of a hole I’ll drill in the back then caulk over it (The one with the black flap on the back) has anyone done this and what are your thoughts for doing this? I have a 2019 yamaha sx210.

The one with the black flap? The exhaust or the scupper?

Thanks. It’s the scupper drain. I traced it out and it’s coming from the cabin of the boat. I’m wondering if that flap is up just 1/4” how much is that going to affect the performance of the drain being that it is above the water line?
