I have fun surfing the mushy crap wave behind my ar230 without any ballast, but i wouldn't mind getting a better wave. Transom ballast is out of the question because i enjoy starting and stopping from the transom and don't want anything back there in the way.
has anyone thought about using a trim tab and custom mount to perform the same action as the wake wedge to deflect the jet wash? My thought is that spending 1000 bucks on a defector board that you have get in the water and mess with to change sides is crazy. I'm the kind of guy that will spend hours engineering something to save me a few minutes, especially for on the water time. I want to hit a button, wait 5 seconds, and start riding.
how much would a ski locker bag help the wave? What about a rear locker bag? 500lb concrete blocks in a locker? I used 5 buckets full of concrete as ballast when i was a kid. $3 for 90lb!
