I have a 1994 bayliner reflexx jet, mercruiser sportjet 90hp 14 foot long boat.
I am wanting to install trim tabs. I'm curious if I need 40lb or 60lb plates, just looking for opinions before I buy. I believe the plates are all 10"x9" for this specific brand I want. I also plan on pulling a 200lb kneeboarder, or a tube. I mainly want the tabs because the boat rises way to height to plain, and doesn't plain at low speeds, and takes a bit long to plain with 2 passengers aboard.Screenshot_20200727-131914_Chrome.jpg

Good question. Logically you'd want the biggest to provide more interference between the water and the tab. Just make sure you have enough room to fit them on.

I'm not sure, but I am sure the manufacturer with which you are dealing would know. I would call them up and pick their brains...
