I did a search and found really nothing pertaining to Sea Doo or my model. Do you need them or no? I do get on some big water IE Lake of the Ozarks.
Any help would be appreciated!

I believe every boat should have them. They help with planing, chop, steering in strong winds and balancing out the boat (more weight on one side vs the other). I put them on all my boats. Love them; don't leave home without them. :winkingthumbsup"

Others here blazed the trail as far as adding Trim tabs to my 07 AR230. There are a few manufacturors out there. Lectrotab, Bennett, lenko etc. A couple of things you might want to do, Call Russ at Lectrotab and inquire about setups for your boat. As others have done, cut out a piece of cardboard the size of the trim tab, in my case 12"x12", and see where/how it fits on the transom. You will also need to measure for actuator length and its placement. https://jetboaters.net/threads/lectrotab-trim-tabs.71/ .

They make a big difference in the chop and wakes of others' boats. It also eliminates the porposing of the bow while on plane. Absolutely the best ride comfort mod. I did to our Yamaha, no question.

Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dean P, just curious on you trim tab set up for your VRX. what kit did you use and how did you manage to avoid interference with the cooling plates. any pictures?

I installed Bennett M120 Trim Tabs w/EIC (in sig). I placed them just inboard of the cooling plates. Plenty of room and they work well there. Would have loved to push them out further but not possible with my boat.

No speed loss at all. I only employ then when necessary. But, it sure is nice to have them when I need them. Every boat should have them. You'll like them too.

Electric or Hydraulic?
I'm leaning towards the Bennett Bolt as of now.

Mine are hydraulic. That's all I've ever used and I only boat in saltwater. They hold up extremely well.

With all my spare time due to the Covid19 pandemic and our Shelter In Place requirements here in Canada, I am experimenting with wake surf tabs to help control the wake behind the Challenger 230. In theory, they should also work as normal trim tabs once the controller is set up.

I am waiting on the actuator mounts to arrive before I am able to proceed any further.

Here are some photos.
