I used a 6.5"x18" piece of 1/2" aluminum plate. rounded corners and edges with a foam sanding block.
1/2" plate... all week offshore and solid as a rockHeres mine after first weekend in the open water. Off to the dealership i go.
Just ordered a piece of 5/8" 6.5" x 20" to replace factory POS.. guess I will see if yamaha will fix the gelcoat if not I will fix it with some patch paste..1/2" plate... all week offshore and solid as a rock
One month later, Yamaha finally approves the repair after I called customer service.Heres mine after first weekend in the open water. Off to the dealership i go.
