I dunno. Hard to say if the Cybertruk driver crashed intentionally, or was just really bad at driving and followed the thief into the tree. Looks to me like the thief team wide and the truck just followed their line instead of the road.
 
I think it's pretty clear here that the cybertruck driver was just unclear about its very different acceleration characteristics vs a normal car. By pure happenstance they experienced a much larger than intended acceleration, when the thieves sideswiped the truck and crashed into the tree.

All those in the car should meet ol sparky immediately.
