I have a 2-3" crack on the rear sunpad of my LS2000. Does anyone know how I can repair this at least as a temporary fix so that it does not continue to get larger? Try to ignore the mildew which crops up when the boat sits with the cover on for periods. I will clean it (again) before the next outing. I also have to give it the 3M spray as we begin this new summer season

You can see this is not in the greatest area since the sundeck, metal bracket is right below the crack. Ideas?

If the vinyl is hard around the crack area you most likely need to recover the entire piece because it will keep cracking beyond the patch.

x2 on what @Murf'n'surf said. If you just want a temporary repair, you can find vinyl tape that is 3M adhesive backed. You could fix a strip to cover it, but it will likely be unsightly and may require frequent replacement. The vinyl welds that shops do to fix a spot won't take on a spot that big, and as Murf said, it appears hardened and dried out, so repair of that won't work. We have seen some pretty nice re-upholstry jobs done on the LS's!

Vinyl tape or even duct tape will work for now.... An upholstery shop probably wont even try to fix, just replace....

Okay - I do plan to do some cushions some day just so they are brand new so I will tackle it then. For now, I have the perfect Jetboaters.net sticker that I will use to cover that crack.
