Hello! The 65" veve guides I bought have a 6 inch 3/8ths hex bolts which aren't long enough. Looks like I'll need a 7 or 8 inch to make it work with threading that goes far down the bolt. My home depot does not carry anything that will work. They have 8" but threads don't go down far enough. Am I doing something wrong and should be able to use my existing hardware? Seems like an easy install for everyone else.

I use Smith guides, and they offered the kit with bolts for different trailer frame size...it needs the big ones.

I can measure the bolts if you like, but I am not exactly certain as to how the VeVe guides mount as compared to the Smith guides, so that may not help.

Mine fit on my Shorelandr with the provided bolts (6"), and I have plenty of extra threads. Maybe your 24' boat has a heavier trailer with a deeper cross section.
