I have a 2016 ar192 and it is reading about 12.9 engine running. What is everyone else seeing for voltage with boat running?

Mine is anywhere from 12.8 to 14 ish. But I think I;m having battery issues so wouldn't use me as a good example

Yeah my friends 2018 Yamaha ski reads 14 but I am never seeing close to that. I found a service manual for a older sx190 that’s says peak is 13v. Mine is a 2016 ar192 so just wondering what it should be.

Mine typically runs around 12.5 at idle but if I’m running her it will climb up a little over 14.

Output varies with power, perhaps leave the voltage meter attached on the next trip and glance at it at greater RPM to see the effect?

Fixed! Battery just had a low charge. It puts out 14.1 even at idle.

14.1 at idle is odd. Shouldn't it be 12.7 max if not being charged? I'm new to this, so I may be wrong.

Only took it out once. Didn't notice voltage at idle but was over 14 v at cruising speed.

They should be 14 even at idle or else you have a bad connection or weak battery. My cousin just bought a new one also and it’s the same. This may not be true on older ones. Mine is 2016 and his is 2018

On my older boat if I have the battery switch selected to one battery it reads over 14.. if I change the switch to both batteries it drops to about 13 or so..

It depends on battery state of charge at low rpms I believe. For a fully charged battery it has no trouble reaching 14v, but for a battery in need, it cannot do that at idle.

That's my theory.

Not sure about the 1.8s but my MR1 is a little over battery voltage at idle and at 3500 the manual says it should be 13.
