Volume issues with stereo

I have a 2016 AR240 and everything is stock. Our last few trips of the season last year the volume on the stereo would just go to max volume...would turn it down or mute but would still go to max volume. Just changed out batteries today hoping that would fix the issue but no luck. Any and all advice is welcomed. Thanks

Interesting. Are you syncing your phone by any chance? Just curious if the phone becomes the volume controlled by default at that point.

I just googled stereo reset and a lot of options popped up. Maybe consider googling that for your particular stereo and see if it that can help.

I would be willing to bet the head unit is corroded and needs to be replaced.

Do you have a transom remote? Try unplugging it and see if the issue goes away, if the issue stops that's your issue.
