OK guys, I am brand spanking new to jet boats. So some of my issues might just be a lack of experience with them.

First, I'm trying to find out what people's first hand experience is with thrust vectors and what people's first experience with the cobra jet system.
I have a 2024 Yamaha FSH 220. I find that at low speeds. The steering is a little wonky which I knew that would be the case, but I also find there's a tremendous amount of play in the steering wheel no matter what the speed is. Also, at high speed, it does not seem as responsive. Also, I find that the boat doesn't track very well. It feels like it wanders slightly from side to side unless I'm full of throttle.

So in everyone's personal experience out of vectors versus Cobra, which system tends to help overall? From what I can understand thrust factors are simply for low speed operations while cobra is for all the different speeds. I'm planning on ordering today if need be. And last thing is I really wanna put a second tie rod because a lot of people said that makes the steering Fuel more responsive but I'm just not sure. Thank you guys.

I tell everyone to do their research there is a lot of information out there but use your logical side.
I started this endeavor 23 years ago for my own jet boat .
I was asked to make steering for Yamaha jet boats by Yamaha jet boat owners and they were very happy.
I spent 23 years of my life making real steering and adding in the most features and benefits , while keeping my prices low .
I obtained 5 US patents with over 100 patented claims including the second tie rod .
I looked at what these boats needed and provided it as I still do.
I make model specific steering for the different boat styles and I add in plaining surfacers for a faster hole shot and a smoother ride in chop. I put in adjustments so you can set the influence levels and so much more. Take your boat out and rapidly decelerate in a turn, the boat looses steering control I fix that. Make a turn at speed and the boat looses speed I fix that, get in rough conditions and see how the boat wanders I fix that . I make a design that automatically changes the level of influence based on the position of the hull in the water so the steering automatically changes it's influence level to meet the needs of the boat at all speeds. Here is a comparison video from a customer who used both ,
and a few other videos
So if you want the most features and benefits from the specialist who blazed this trail and continues to address the steering issues of jet boats and P W C's the answer should be obvious and you also get free domestic shipping and a 30 day money back satisfaction guarantee and you can speak directly to the inventor to get the correct setup for your boating needs.

I had TV's on my first two Yamaha's (SX230 & 242LS) and the Cobra Jet offering on my current Yamaha (242LS-E) and I'd give the slight nod to Cobra Jet. I couldn't tell much difference between how the boat tracks at low speed but I do like that Cobra Jet is made out of aluminum (the dry stack guys bent one of the TV's on my last boat when lifting it out), has the extra tie rod for twin engine boats, and that the fins do not extend below the bottom of the hull.

The best steering enhancement that I've purchased is Lateral Thrusters which makes the steering wheel input when going in reverse like steering a car. Some have had issues with Cobra Jet / Lateral Thrusters compatibility but they work fine for me.

Any bit on research shows the Cobra's are superior in every way.

Cant give you input on the TVs since my only experience is with cobras. I have his original magnums for the a/k with no fangs and i have the original lateral thrusters, and couldn't be happier

I've had CobraJet AKs with Lateral Thrusters (242 LS 2016) - since 2019 and 250+hours - no issues. Best combo you can wish for
