Does the air box drain into the crank case on the MR1??? And who the hell designed that if it does.. I changed the oil today and cleaned out the compartment with engine degreaser, get out on the water and have milky oil when I go to top it off. Thankfully I only ran if for 30 seconds. It's definitely from washing it, because there's degreaser in the oil too. Sucking the oil out and ordering new filters now...I had put in the ultra expensive Royal Purple HPS I run in my car too

The breather tube does, that is what kills the air cleaner when you overfill the oil so if you put water in the air box you put it in the engine and in the throttle body also

I made sure to cover the throttle bodies, and assumed the air box drained outside like on my old LS2000... stupid mistake :banghead:

ok the 1 in tube goes back to the crank case

It definitely turned milky fast because I probably dumped a gallon+ of water into each one washing out the air box.

Reaching that bolt dosen't seem very difficult, at least not compared to working on cars, but catching whatever comes out does... replacing that bolt with a hose fitting and valve seems like a good idea, then I could just connect my sucker pump and get all the oil out every time.
