After our outing on Saturday, I decided to wash the underside of the boat. While it's clean I figured I may as well get a coat of wax on there. Is there a product that is better for the bottom than others? I usually use Collinite for the sides (straight carnauba, no cleaner) but I don't think that's the longest lasting wax on the planet. It's easy on, easy off though and I don't mind doing it. What did you use to glaze/wax the bottom of your hull?

Thanks,
Mark

I was wondering what you do to wax were the boat is on the bunks. Not to hijack the thread

Was wondering the same thing this weekend. Eagerly awaiting some expert advice :)

Waxed around the bunks. I have used Rejex the past two seasons and it has been great! Got the product from this same type of discussion a couple years ago.

Since I don't have a boat I'm of little help to suggest products I've tried. That being said, I use Chemical Guys products for my vehicles and they make some really good high quality stuff. Here is their boast and RV product line-up http://www.chemicalguys.com/Boat_Marine_and_RV_s/621.htm. When I finally get a boat I will be trying out a lot of their boat care products and will give you my thoughts on them.

For old boats or any chalky or a dull sun bleached appearance this stuff works like magic; literally!

I had great luck bringing back my old 1990's boat back to looking like new again. I highly recommend it.

First time you plane any wax will be washed right off!
