Glad I winterized 2 weeks ago. Checked on the Damprid yesterday in the boat as I sat in the boat in the drive and had a cold one reminiscing of the good times we had this summer. Oddly enough we had major storms come through late afternoon yesterday and it hit 81 degrees. By 9:00 pm it was 42 degrees out again.

Per reading some of the winterizing posts here, I decided to use the shipping cover with poles some extra straps and the factory shipping brackets for the tower this year. Hopefully, I will keep an eye on it and everything goes well.

Well back to working on the kitchen., Drywall is going up today!

Pulling the pier out today. Average high is 51 degrees in northern Wisconsin. It’s 29, and there’s 3” of snow on the ground.

I still gave to winterize, but not going to bother with that until next weekend.

I told my wife, if it’s 29 and snowing when we pull the pier out, it’ll probably be 60 and snowy for Thanksgiving this year.

I think this past weekend was my last hurrah for 2020. Going to winterize it this weekend. I've made some purchases recently for some small fixes and upgrades on the boat and want to get those done as well. I have someone coming to clean up the exterior and buff out scratches and scrapes to the finish and then it's in dry storage until April. I don't know what I will do to replace the fun family times, the relaxation of evening cruises, and working from the boat for the next 5-6 months. There is nothing quite like being on the water!

I was able to sneak in one last day on the Chesapeake Bay this weekend on the Formula. Beautiful weather, sunny, calm and 70’s all weekend. Then put her to bed for the winter in her covered slip. The Yamaha is at the dealer for its 10 hour service and winterizing. Shipping cover good enough for Yamaha, should be fine for you as long as its in good shape. The dealers in the northeast east don't do anything to the boats that are not sold, just kept on the lot with the shipping cover on from the factory. I'm sure the boats are not even winterized. I'm assuming they are water tested at the factory and then shipped. But of course I could be completely wrong. Let us know in the spring how everything worked out.

I live in NE Ohio and used my 2021 Saturday when it finally hit 70. Now it’s time to win to. As far as antifreeze I just fired it up and turned an electric pump on in a bucket of antifreeze and ran it until it was coming out the exhaust. I plan to spray fogging oil into cylinders. Is this good enough? Wondering if that is the proper way to do it with antifreeze. I didn’t warm it up first so I doubt the thermostat opened so now it has me wondering.
