I’ve got an AR210 and it didn’t come with any sort of on board trash can. I’d like to do something more rigid than just a loose bag.

I had thought about mounting a can on the port side storage door but I’m worried it will hit the cooler and prevent the door from closing.

I’d love some ideas. Thanks!

If you mount something make sure it has lid or its stored inside a compartment, I brought an old trash bin from my room one time and when I got to the dock at the end of the day, all the plastic bottle is gone, it flew off underway. I now use garbage bag attached to the front latch of the insulated cooler (I have FSH though).

Admiral Ties up couple of Kroger bags to the SS window support pole. I mounted one in the Port Storage on the door and It was indeed colliding with my cooler and other items. Then I mounted it on the Starboard side, and I didn't like the way it was cutting down on my space.

Bags, although not as cool, are easy and we keep a slew of them on board, can easily be pulled off disposed of and reset. Or tied up and stored if we are piling up too much junk.

Won't lie to you though, I always do have musings about a trash can somewhere, just don't want to give up the space. Perhaps that is the reason I want to go to 25' footer. :)

In the ski locker on my 212X I keep two plastic rectangular trash bins side by side. One for beer bottle recycling and the other for real trash. I also installed slam locks on all my doors so closing the lid while cruising is a breeze.

@Russell That is a great idea. Problem is I don't have the room. With the Super Mable, some other things and now a trolling motor in there, it is full up. :(

We took a container we originally designed for dog food storage and it fits great in front of the helm. Held a 22 lb bag of dog food. I will try to get a pic later. Use a 13 gallon bag I believe.

We don't generally have a lot of trash, no cans we usually have refillables. We use a large yellow Nestle Nesquick container. Has a screw top lid, will float if it gets blown out and easily keeps trash together.

Beer or trolling motor? :wtf: It doesn't sound like a real decision to me...

Kingford Charcoal Kaddy works perfectly.

Oh, I have no problem in carrying the beer and keeping it cold. Just not going to have room to put a place to keep returnables in the ski locker.

Not a rigid solution but inexpensive (under $15 shipped) and it works for me. That is, it’s out of the way but still easily accessible. Clean up is a breeze, just throw the bag out with the trash.

We use a yeti bucket as the can and put a trash bag in it.

5 gallon bucket with a diy version of a trash lid. Cut a hole with a hole saw or razor knife, add a few relief cuts, sand rough edges, and you have a great trash bin for @$5. I put it where I need it while parked, and easily moveable.

I did add a piece of paracord through drilled holes in the lid and bucket after not having the lid snapped on and losing it on the front deck of the pontoon. Now it with rides in port helm storage while under way, so that is not really needed.
