2015 shorlandr trailer for a 19 ft Yamaha jet boat. I’m going to attempt this myself. But I don’t know the condition of the bolt and the size. Anyone know what I should get and have on hand. The lake isnt close to a hardware shop. So I want to have stuff in my truck ready to go. Help!!

What I did with the help of my son measured the boards with the boat on the trailer and got an inventory of screws. Then went to the hardware store got my pretended lumber, stainless steel screws, stainless steel stables, and luckily they had marine grade carpet. Then went home attached the carpet took a day off work went to the local launch on a Wednesday left the boat on the courtesy dock and replaced the boards in the parking lot. Bring a knife or razor blade i had to cut some of the carpet during installation.

It ended up being just four little screws.

I just had an end of one of my bunks come loose a couple weeks ago, and just fired in a couple 3” deck screws with washers under the heads to reattach it. Angled them to hit solid wood after the original bolts tore out.
