What to do??? Found a dog in the lake.

Well, thanks for all the replies and concern. Come to find out, we got played. It seems that this particular dog pulls these shenanigans often. After a brief talk with the local PD we found out that he often uses boaters for snacks, rides, and pampering.

Tonight we were his one night stand. It was a fun few hours, but we were directed back to the area where he frequently picks up his flings and we dropped him off.

If I find him making a swim for it again, he will come home with us. ;)

So he's a well fed stray?

That is hilarious. That's the most intelligent dog I have ever heard of.

His owners must own a Sea-Doo. He got to damn bored getting towed back to the dock all of the time and decided to jump ship.

The pooch is a player! Guess he really got alot of attention and some good eats. He is just like any guy a women looks at twice....lol:cigar:

Brings all new meaning to, 'It's a dog's life.'

You get one good Samaritan point.

And Your good Samaritan point is automatically deducted for be out played by a dog....

Looks like a smart dog, still don't understand how the owners would be ok with this situation .

I sure hope you don't own a dog, sorry.

*Edited to remove inappropriate quote. (Murf)

That might be one of the funnier dog stories that I've heard. They are often smarter than we give them credit. Glad he was not abandoned. He's a good looking dog and I would also be inclined to keep him if I couldn't find his owner.

.45 cal is your answer if you never find his owner. And don't get on me for hating dogs. I love them. But sometimes you gotta do the right thing.

This is most certainly NOT the right thing to do.

Oh @Bill D Go back and keep him!! He look like such a great boat dog.

argghh.... read the first post and wanted to reach out to "adopt" him. Lost our dog a few weeks ago. I am glad it found its owner and I agree this dog needs a good set of name tags.

One tag identifying his name as 'Moocher'.

Pooch hit the lottry finding you !
