My 2018 195 Open ID supplied in the UK doesn't have the depth finder, so I'm fitting a NASA Clipper with an in-hull transducer (with a little help from a friend!)

I'd like to fit the transducer in the same location that Scarab use for a factory fit, but can't find out where it should be. Looked through all 170 pages of the 2018 operation manual, searched this forum - can't find it.

Anyone know or even better, have a picture? THANK YOU!

Typically located in teh bilge area, maybe slightly under the starboard engine as Chaparral did. In the case of Chaparral they have a mounting cup secured into the bilge to hold the transducer, and the gel. The gel is needed in the space between the hull and transducer, this makes that gap void free so the sonar transmits though the hull properly. If there were air voids, the signal would bounce off those instead of going through the hull.
